That is expected. The bandwidth of the DEBI interface (part of the
saa7146 PCI bridge) is not very high, and further limited due
to the somewhat inefficient firmware protocol and the low
memory bandwidth of the AV7110's ARM core.

Maybe 3 channels is just a tiny bit too much and the buffers
run slowly full.

Get yourself a non-av7110 card and be happy with it.
