[linux-dvb] Re: /dev/dvb0.dvr0 instead of /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0??
I loaded yesterday a new kernel sources and build myself 2.6.10-rc3-bk5.
With this kernel the udev rules did not work and I needed to use
MAKEDEV-DVB.sh
for getting Technotrend DVB-C 2.1 FF card to work.
When I load drivers udev rules will create the /dev/dvb but not
/dev/dvb/adapter0
I have about 6 month linux-2.6.7-1.mm.7mdk which has then been patched
with the dvb cvs drivers
and with them the DVB rules works ok.
I also tested CVS drivers from the REFACTORING branch about a week
before the merge to head
happened and then the REFACTORING branch worked with udev rules.

Why dvb0 and not dvb skystar2?
alias dvb skystar2
This works too.
OK on my machine the dvb.sh script is failing. The message is:
/etc/udev/scripts/dvb.sh: line 3: s,dvb\([0-9]\)\.\([^0-9]*
\)\([0-9]\),dvb/adapter\1/\2\3,: No such file or directory
dvb_core loads automatically
skystar2 loads automatically
stv0299 does not load, I have to modprobe
Cheers
Tony
