I don't want to bother You, just to point out clearly:
As I reported last week (Thread "Re: got kfir going!")
on a board with VIA chipset I managed to configure 2 kernels,
both 2.4.0, where the one works fine but the other hangs
lethally when trying the insmod kfir.o (so the same behaviour
of crash You and Titus experienced, too)

As this problem obviously arises more often than I thought,
I will try to find out the crucial difference between the two
.config's as soon as I find the time to do so (probably next
week).

Any hints that might shorten this process of
reboot-and-try-again are welcome.
