[vdr] system hangs after deleting records in vdr

Hi all,

vdr is a great work, thanks to Klaus!

My only problem is, that since I use vdr (from version 0.7x to 0.96) if I delete records with vdr, my system hangs.

Here the symtoms:

My system is a 1GHZ Thunderbird, NMC 8TAX+ MB, 256MB Ram, Hauppauge Rev 1.3 Sat card, 80 Maxtor disk, Suse 7.2.

First I used a vat partition for
my video directory. When I deleted some records with vdr and
vdr does this I get the following error messages in the
/var/log/messages

so I got a "attempt to access beyond end of device" if vdr wants to write to the harddisk after deleting some files. 
I checked the disk, by filling it completely with data, nothing happens. 
This error occours only after deleting files with vdr.


So I formated the disk with reiserfs, and now I got the following situation:

#### here were some unprintable characters in the messages-file and my machine was completely  dead, so I did a reset ####

In the above situation I deleted some records in vdr and to "force" it I restarted the computer by a script executed by the vdr commands.


Does any body have an idea whats wrong?
