There is already some program out there watching for logo's which generates 
the "marks.vdr" file, but one has to learn it the logo's first.

Maybe i'am wrong - but, ASAP the broadcasters are fully digital (that means 
they do not send analog video signals and convert them on the fly to digital 
signals), so the commercials sent consists of blocks of 100% identical data.

Would'nt that make it possible to simply store some part of I-Frames in a 
library (which is automatically build and increased by manually editing 
recordings). Later recordings I-frames will then be checked for being in 
library and only stored on disk if not...
