[vdr] System hangs whine cutting !! NEED HELP

Hi List,

I think since I use VDR 0.97 and even with VDR 0.98 my system hangs while
cutting a movie.
Then in the process list there are two or three DEAD processes and sometimes
one ZOMBIE.

I found no way to kill them so the only way I can go is to switch to single
user mode
and then "hard-reset" my server. (VERY bad)

Does anybody of you have any idea whats going on ??

Need help, my VDR is also my Fileserver and Mailserver, and I can not
restart it
that way very often.
