just as a test i moved mplayer.sh from /etc to my vdr - dir /usr/src/VDR,
but that changed nothing.
when vdr isn't started i can start DVB drivers with make insmod and then i
could start mplayer, but when vdr is running and i try to start mplayer i
see the message that the DVB driver is busy.

On my vdr screen, i can see the messages of the mplayer. Is your mplayer.sh
in a for vdr accessible directory? And can you call mplayer.sh from
everywhere?
