No, maybe start searching at "menu.c"?

 
I would wellcome such a "feature" very much, because
here too the time between key press and the reaction is 
often much too long. (PIII 1000! i don't know why it
lasts so long to display my just 10+ recordings on a single 50GB 
ext2, now ext3 partition).


Just paste small square into the current OSD upper right corner 
which is overwritten when VDR paints the final results.
Maybe make the square "move" when the action lasts longer than 4sec.
(You know the turning wheel "-/|\" sequence for exsample)

But a single "scanning..." would be sufficient enough for the first attept.

It would be very helpful to have a more "immediate" feedback.
