[vdr] Re: MPlayer+DXR3 and VDR integration

Doesn't the DVB-S Rev2.1 have a 5.1-SPDIF?
(I do have a Rev1.3 with PCM-only-SPDIF, so I didn' test it)

An AC3/DTS-Receiver at the SPDIF-out of DVB-S would have the best result in audio quality and a/v-sychronization (no soundcard
needed anymore ...).
and you could use the PCI-Slot planned for a DXR3 to use a WinTV Nova instead as secondary DVB ...

If you consider you get a AC3/DTS-Receiver for 300,- Euro it isn't much more than you pay for a DXR3 and you get real hifi quality
on all 6 channels ...
