Sorry, IMHO a system with 1 Card and CAM looks not very useful to me.
You lose most of the advantages of VDR with it. 

With CAM, a two DVB-S system is the minimum useful, even there would be
no problem. If you have a DVB-S/Nova combination the system is castrated
to the functionality of a single card system when recording an encrypted
channel.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that you are upset by this problem when
you are restricted to 1 DVB-S or 1 DVB-S/Nova configurations. But you
may have to live with this problem  may be forever because of the
limited control on this part of software.

Wouldn't it be better to invest into another DVB-S and get peace of
mind?
