I thought the error message pretty clear, you've run out memory. Now 
with 64Mb RAM this appears to be a bit unlikely, but still ....
What other programms did you run (X, Mozilla, KDE, Gnome) ?????
How much swap space do you have?

I have not actualy verified how much memory is needed for DVD playback, 
but my guess is something arround 3Mb in addition to whatever VDR 
already takes.
