[vdr] Re: Maxtor 160 GB



The Maxtor 160 Gb needs 48-Bit adressing.
There's a kernel patch (some on list use it).

I don't know on from which kernel version it is included,
but I don't think in 2.4.10 ...

The BIOS shouldn't be able to work with space bigger than 135 MB.
But I think ASUS will update BIOSes.
