what Michael meant was:
 - change the max size parameter to 650MB in the setup
 - put a start mark at the start of your existing recording
 - put an end mark at the end of the existing recording
 - start the cutting process
 - the cutten recording will contain the whole film and should
   contain only files smaller than 650 MB
