I am using XFS.
It's working great for me.

The XFS patch and the 48-bit LBA patch fit
together nicely without a single conflict.

There have been XFS discussions on this list,
somebody even did a real-life VDR benchmark
with XFS and IIRC Reiser. 
XFS was a clear winner.
So, I believe that XFS is by far the best,
both performance-wise and reliability-wise.
