[vdr] Fwd: Re: [linux-dvb] Re: handling of more than one tuner module

As kvdr already displays the overlay of your analog video-cards as well, it's
just a bit more of the unix-philosophy to use a commandline-tuner program
(like i use a commandline mixer program) to set the appropriate channels.

The trick would be using not just the tuner, but the tuning information of
programs lke xawtv or kwintv inside kvdr and control the actual tuner by
calling the commandline program.

For the extra dvb-cards it would be nice to have and SVDRP-interface in vdr,
which would allow to switch channels on non-primary cards as well.

Finally, given enough audio-input sources at your sound card, you could even
use the same existing functionality to switch to the other audio-sources
while zapping through the video-devices.

To let kvdr know about which tuner+program+audio-source to use one needs a
little bit more configuration, but that's all

Altogether, i guess, now more than ++1000 LOC into kvdr, just don't have to
time to do that myself.
