if you are using a DVB-S card: have you tried the volume-up key in vdr or if
your volume-up keys dont work yet, try increasing your value for
"CurrentVolume" in /video/setup.conf to 255.

if you are using a DVB-C card, AFAIK volume-control is unsupported by the
driver.
