Would it be a good idea to use the genindex code that
werner posted to simply create an index.vdr on the fly
whenever there is none (not only for (S)VCDs)?
As soon as you have an index.vdr, Fast forward/backward,
correct progress bar display, etc. etc. should all be 
solved, right?
