[vdr] AC3 over DVB Nexus-s Card

Hi,

i hav the following hardware:
Hauppauge DVB Nexus -> Rev.2.1 Board with digital out.
SBLive Platinium
Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500 Digital Sourround System

when i play a movie with ac3, and no -a switch from vdr then there is no
sound.
if i play it with the -a switch i get dolby digital.

My question is, have anybody out there with such a configuration that
work, and can help.

Or is it possible that the dd-stream out of the nexus card isnt a
correct dd-stream.

Or maybe the dtt3500 system dont work with the stream produced through
the software
