And have to correct this statement again....

turning off VCD helps greatly in reducing the occurrence
of the unwanted record-interruptions, but compared to my pre4
code it's still quite unstable.

I'd really like if somebody more skilled could take a look
at this problem because I'm going mad at reproducing & tracking it.
