Well, I cannot reproduce this behaviour.
Which MP3 version and which DVB driver are you using?

One possible explanation could be, that your cpu isn't fast
enough for recording and MP3 replay. I guess this from the fact,
that the recording breaks only after 3 minutes.
What is your cpu load when the recording starts?
