[vdr] SPDIF output

Hello,

AFAIK it is now possible to record the AC3 stream with vdr
(still using an older version). On the DVB card rev 1.3
SPDIF is offered on connector J2. In the vdr FAQ I read,
that the SPDIF output is only PCM and not AC3. Is this
still true?
If there is true AC3 on the output I will solder a TOS link
converter to J2 otherwise I will be happy with the analog
output.
