well, that's the only code that I use too. I've written the codes into
lircd.conf exactly as the driver printed them out.(Perhaps the codes
depends on DVB Rev.? I use hauppauge dvbs 2.1)

You use devfs? Is there perhaps a file '/dev/lirc'? Delete all files/dir
called lirc* before loading the driver. As far as I can remember I had
this problem some time ago.

You should give your linux box an explicit hostname (Is much cooler :)
