Hello,

I also like to vote for such a server/client solution.

My situation:
I removed the old antenna cabeling from my house
and it is much cheaper to install an old pc
in the near of the dish compared to a new distribution
of sat signal over the house. 

BTW and OT: 
may be it is possible to have only one distribution cabeling (=Ethernet).
