Yes, but there are dozens of uplink stations. You might be able to sync
all the large ones quite easily, but what about all those small
remote-trucks?
And still digital transmissions do not always send at the center of a
transponder, just look at Deutsche Welle TV on Eutelsat. It shares it's
sattellite together with an analog transmission.
