That's it! The problem is that SuSE 7.1 comes with the choice between
kernel 2.2.18 and 2.4.0 Since the standard ReiserFS for 2.2 kernels uses
ReiserFS 3.5.x, there will be no LFS (Large File Support, which is only
availabe on ReiserFS 3.6.x). After switching to the 2.4.0 kernel, ReiserFS
is available on new partitions or on partitions that have been mounted
with the "conv" option once.
