[vdr] Re: VideoLAN problems

Hi,

I can view the videstream with the UDP.zip (moonlight) and the Elecard
Codec 2.0 Beta. Perhaps you havenīt set the route again? Iīve setuped in
/etc/route.conf on my Suse 7.3, so itīs set everytime after a restart.
You must try to open a vdr file with the old media player (mplayer2.exe)
or with the zoom player, perhaps you havenīt activated the right codec.
These old Players show you under properties (Eigenschaften) which codec
is in use to decrypt the vdr file. If it isnīt the mpgdec.ax from
elecard than you must unregister it with regsvr32 xxx.ax in itīs
directory. Iīd the same probs at the beginnig of installation a stream
codec (direct show) on every system at home, whith WinXP.:((
I hope you could understand my bad english...;)

The next Prob is, that the elecard codec show the video stream in a
wrong side format, but the zoom player can interpolate them manualy:))
I use now another codec, but itīs no freeware cause itīs an privat
project. Whit this codec the mediaplayer shows also the right format.

Done everything ! I can see the udp traffic on tcpdump on server but
media player gave me :'A time-out has expired ' error after some
seconds and no details :-( .

I am trying to view the vdr stream for a while with no success. May be
the 10 Mbit hub the problem ?
