[vdr] Re: .vdr under Windows



I'm currently working on a player that can handle the typical vdr file
splitting and provides fast forward / rewind using vdr's index file. It is
based on the elecard filters too.

I decided to do so, because playing the plain *.vdr with media player does
not always work as expected...  I guess that media player's positioning
won't work with slightly defective streams.

But anyway: you'll need much cpu speed to watch them. On my 2GHz P4 (only
DDR, no RAMBUS) it takes about 30% cpu time.

yes. once you installed the elecard filters for media player it works.
