[vdr] Re: vdr 1.1.X and mencoder

Yeah - you're right. Recently I've modified my encoding 
script to use the marks.vdr for getting the values for 
mencoder's -ss and -endpos options. This saves time and 
disk space, but if mencoder doesn't like uncutted files I 
must fallback to to old way ...

I don't understand the difference between reading from file 
and reading from pipe. If mencoder does seek operations on 
the input file, why it accepts the bad file directly but 
not from a pipe?

@Klaus: Do you see any chance to resolve this problem? Is 
vdr creating damaged files on recording? Is there any way 
to fix the files without cutting?
