[vdr] Necessary hardware to build a VDR

Hi to everybody,

I'm a new mailing list member and a VDR beginner, so I am a little
confused about the necessary hardware I need to build my VDR. So:

- Which kind of mainboard do I need? To run Linux (I suppose any
distribution will work fine) do I need a mainboard with a special chipset
or other features?

- I suppose I can use any Pentium IV as a microprocessor, isn't it?

- Kingstom RAM it would be a good idea, isn't it?

- Any recomandation for the HD? Can I use a scsi HD or it is more
recomandable to use an ide one?

- Any suggestion about the audio card?

- Which DVD I can use?
