Nope, VDR's OSD is being remapped into 'DVD sub-pictures' and sent 
completely seperately to /dev/em8300_sp.

It's the reason the OSD on the DXR3 is limited to 4 colours (one of 
which must be transparent so we can see the TV pictures!)
