We've tried to find someone several times, but no success.

Sascha Volkenandt is working on a streaming plugin, which provides
live-streams at stdout. So it can be used with MPlayer and when you compile
VDR with DEBUG_OSD=1 you have the OSD on a other console available.

If you are running a full-featuerd card, you can use the V4L-interface of
the card (e.g. XawTV).
