[vdr] AW: Status of DVD creation under linux?

Hello,

I'm using ds.jar from http://home.arcor.de/matt2/dvb.matt/ to demux the VDR
records. The tool is able to detect the content of the VDR files (Video,
MPEG Audio and AC3) and syncs the Video/Audio/AC3 files. Since it is a JAVA
tool it works with Windows and Linux.
IFOEdit (www.doom9.org) is a nice tool for creating DVDs, but it's a Windows
tool :-(. It is able to multiplex Video, MPEG Audio, AC3 and DTS files to
VOB's, create the IFO/BUP files and add chapter information to these files.
At the moment it is not able to create menus. See the guides on
www.doom9.org how to author a DVD using this tool. It works really nice with
my DVD-Player (Panasonic DVD-RV32) and also with PowerDVD 4.0.
Maybe there will be a DVD authoring software delivered with the writer. This
software should also be able to author DVD's using the demuxed VDR files.

Frank
