It would also be interesting to take such a stream and try to
play it back via Windows & the Elecard codec & player. If this
doesn't work, please demux the stream with ds.jar and have a
look if there are any errors in the stream (or at least if there
is something unusual in comparison to a stream from say
Pro-7 (no trouble)

You could also take WatchTVPro and record a trouble channel.
Try to replay this from VDR. WTVpro has the ability to record
PES, so you can just copy it to your Linmachine and run a
genindex over it.
