I did some testing yesterday and had the same results :(

If I remove the CAM then everything is fine - no crashes !


Could it be that VDR is always comunicating with the CAM ? even when this
channel is not crypted ?


Selecting a crypted channel for which i dont have a card (i think it was
NED1) behaved the same way.
Is there no Timeout so that if it does not work after say 45 sec. it will
stop trying to decrypt ?
