AFAIK it's not really a CAM problem, but it's a CI module problem.
It looks like the latest version of the CI module sold by Hauppauge (Rev. 1.6 if you look at the PCB or 3,5" module if we are talking about external shape) is not supported by the linux firmware and, far worse, it looks like nobody is interested in having a look at what's needed in order to support  it.
When I say nobody I mean 'nobody that has signed an NDA and has access to the av7110 firmware source code'.
Looks like we will have to stick with the current available solutions, even if in some countries they are deemed as 'Illegal' .....
