Yes, you can use as many remote controls as you want to control VDR. I have configured 4 remote controls so that VDR responds to them. I originally designed the LIRC code in VDR with that in mind. All you have to do is define the VDR key codes (0-9, Up, etc.) in all remote control definitins. Ask me via PM and I send you my lirc.conf as a sample.
