[vdr] IR Remote Control

Hi,
I have developed a Transceiver System to use a
PC as a remote control & to control your PC using
a remote control. It is based on a Microcontroller
(Atmel). The server software is kompatibel with
LIRC. Therefore you can easily use it to control
VDR, too. The whole process of sending and
receiving codes is hardware based so that there
are no timing problems on a heavily loaded system.
The system can Receive & Transmit and can be
used together with other LIRC compatible clients
like Girder, too.
The system learns codes without any extra tool as
the learning process is integrated with the server.
There are RS232 and USB Versions available.

You can use up to 16 devices connected with a serial bus.
This units can serve as a IR repeater (without
a running PC !!!), too.

The whole project is free for non commercial use.
The server software is Open Source.
The server runs on LINUX and Windows systems.
Any LIRC client can be used - even the clients
that are part of lirc (like irexec).

You can find details on my Webpage: http://www.irtrans.de
