i've got following entries in the log:

Apr 11 08:24:51 uncle vdr[978]: switching to channel 3
Apr 11 08:24:51 uncle vdr[1774]: receiver thread ended on device 1 (pid=1774)
Apr 11 08:24:52 uncle vdr[978]: switching to channel 2
Apr 11 08:24:53 uncle vdr[2425]: receiver thread started on device 1 (pid=2425)
Apr 11 08:24:57 uncle vdr[978]: switching to channel 3
Apr 11 08:24:57 uncle vdr[2425]: receiver thread ended on device 1 (pid=2425)

as one can see i get no "receiver thread started" but an instant 
"receiver thread ended". i can see the EPG - but no video/audio so 
far.
