Thanks for the patch.

I installed fam and the daemon is running.

When i record something and want to view it some
minutes later, there is no record in the list.

But some minutes later the record shows in the list.

Is the any possibility to show the record immediately ?

Greets,
Mirko

Betreff: [vdr] [PATCH] recordings menu speedup

Hi all,

A new version of the fam patch is at:
http://www.cs.uni-magdeburg.de/~aschultz/dvd/vdr-1.1.33-fam1.diff.bz2

This patch reimplements the recordings scanner using FAM. Initial test
show
dramatic speed improvements on large recording directories.

FAM (File Access Monitor) works on local and NFS mounted filesystems, it
also
uses a polling mechanisms as fallback on other filesystems like smb.
Install
and configure it before trying the patch!!! Most newer Linux
distributions do
include it. Sources can be found at: http://oss.sgi.com/projects/fam/

Again: PLEASE ensure fam is configured and running before filling bug
reports!

Have fun

Andreas
