I have investigated your report a bit further and there are two possible 
problems:

1. new recordings might be added to the internal recordings list with a wrong 
name. please try the attached patch for this.

2. It seems that FAM has problems on large directory structures. A clean vdr 
test directory tree with 74 recordings in 162 directories representing about 
800 GB worth of recordings works fine. A directory tree with only 4GB but 
1068 directorys and 15000+ files causes FAM to stall. It completly stops 
reporting changes. A possible solution has been discussed here:
