afaik dbox2 has only a 66Mhz PPC and 10MBit nic, thats a very limited hardware
maybe the dreambox is more intresting (250MHz and 100MBit) as a streamclient
something like this would be interesting

andreas schulz is looking into the dbox2 source for the autopid, and i think
they will do the same if they find a useful feature in vdr
