Gerald Raaf just wrote me an interesting detail: he observed that
when the driver is loaded with hw_sections=1 he gets CAM errors
right away. With hw_sections=0 it works a lot better (for him).

Maybe you (and others who have CAM problems with the new firmware - new
as in "not the -icam firmware") could try this. Note, though, that
hw_sections=0 may lead to disrupted recordings, so you should do the test
on the primary device in live viewing mode (not Transfer Mode!).

This is just an idea, but maybe it helps in finding a cure for these
CAM problems...
