Hello again and again,
sorry for flooding the list, but i have my curious day today *g*

this time my question is:
Is it possible to use a pause the active cPlayer( maybe only mute ),
start another player ( maybe sound only) and afterwards active the
paused player again?

I would appreciate this functionality for my upcoming vbox plugin. so
that is possible to listen to a
recorded call, while replaying anything and to continue the replay
afterwards.

this way also nice announcement plugins could be made,
like a voice telling you why the phone ring s at the moment.
Andreas Kool is working on a isdnlog plugin with this functionality as
far as i know.

All I can say is: let's keep it simple.

Hmm this is actually an argument ;-)

If you want to play something else, stop the current player, play
your other stuff, and then restart the original player.

with vdr recordings this is no problem, because on restart the recording is continued where you last stopped.
but i would like to do the restart automatically from my plugin

another problem would be the mp3 - mplayer plugin, they do not continue on a restart of the playing.
maybe they must be modified for that.

If you just want to indicate why the phone rang, a simple "SVDRP MESG xyz"
should do just fine, I guess.

Klaus

i do this already with a script ;-)
but maybe one of the family members is blind ... would be a nice addon for vdr for this people.

i will refactor my question:
How can i restart the previous active player automatically from my plugin?

regards,
gunnar
