[vdr] Local system clock

Hi,

Local system clock is needed to synchronize the subtitles to video. How 
could this system clock be produced? Few possibilities come to mind:

1) Use PCR to update the clock. If I've understood corretly, the 
full-featured cards filter out PCR, so maybe not possible? Anyhow PCR is 
not recorded...

2) Use video packets' PTS to recreate PCR. When watching live stream 
start a receiver on video PID and grab PTS' from the PES packets. Same 
could be done for recordings as well.

Any ideas?
