When you start recording the currently watched channel on the primary
device, VDR puts that channel into Transfer Mode in order to allow you
to switch to different channels (on the same transponder) while not
interrupting the recording. I assume in your case the last recording
has put the current channel into TM and left it there after it finished.
Some time later the driver choked on some data and so the buffer overflowed.

The main thing we should try to find out is why the driver still (after
the recent increase in video buffer memory in the firmware) chokes
when playing some streams...
