Yeah, but your running FW 2.0 ;o))). As I can see the menu info in the
console log, I'm pretty sure it's just a problem of the parser not
transfering
it to the OSD correctly. (maybe a hidden character or some other junk
from the CAM that's causing the problem).

Strange. It was very noticeable and reproducable (CAM =  noise // no
CAM = fine picture) on the documentary "Jeff Corwin's tierische
Abenteuer"
