Changed it in BIOS - no differnes. From time to time some artifacts. I
also tryed ide0=ata66 ide1=ata66 in lilo.conf - no difference. AFter
that I changed it to pci=biosirq - no differences.

I am wonderung why hdparm /dev/hda says:
using_dma = 0
If i try to enable dma with hdparm -d 1 /dev/hda I get
HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted

Can anybody help me.
I also upgraded Suse 7.3 Prof. to Suse 8.0 Prof. - the same artifacts.
Please help. Any hints are welcome.
