Hallo,

I am not sure if it is kind of OT. I'll just ask and see what happens ;)

As the DVD plugin does not seem to Work (with bitstreamout I get stuttering
Audio - AC3overDVB not tested) I am looking at playing DVD's with mplayer.
Unfortunatly I get no AC3 sound when trying to do so. In fact I did not get
any sound at all !? Not even with -ao mpegpes !? Does it only use the Stereo
out of the Card ? (I have nothing connected there)

Picture is there and looking good.

I then tryed to stop VDR and call mplayer on foot.
DVD used was Matrix and Tomb Raider - both German versions.

Here a couple of logs that might help - all from Tomb Raider wich definetly
has AC3 from the beginning.

System used :
SuSE 8.0
VDR 1.2.1
DVB 11.06.02
MPlayer 0.90 (final)
libdvdcss 1.2.6 (might also have been a prevoius verion when i compiled
mplayer)
libdvdnav-0.1.7
liba52 0.7.4 (I think MPlayer has this included but might be wrong)

Anything else important ?
