[vdr] Re: problems with ASUS a7v8x-x and vdr -> artifacts inrecordings

Ha,

I solved the problem on my own.With Mandrake 9.1 everything works fine -
it's the kernel 2.4.21. The a7v8x-x has got a VIA kt400 who's not 
supportet in kernels <= 2.4.21-pre1 or something like that. 

Is it possible to upgrade the Suse kernel in Suse 8.0 Prof. (kernel
2.4.18 or 2.4.19) to 2.4.21. How can I do it. Just download the
kernel-source from www.kernel.org and compile them?

Has anybody upgradet his Suse 7.3 Prof. or 8.0 Prof. to another kernel
>= 2.4.21 ?
Are there any rpm's for Suse (haven't found them on the Suse homepage or
google.
