[vdr] problems with a nova-s

this is a repost from the DVB list, there was
not a single answer since yesterday, and so
i am trying here my luck ;-)

hope somebody can help me here

i bought a new nova-s card additional to my dvb-s 1.3
but vdr does not work with it ..

/var/log/messages:

vdr -D 0 works as expected, but without "-D" the card comes
to use and as soon as VDR trys to record with the nova
it restarts .. this as an result that no data is received on the
second card. vdr.001 stay at zero size

the card does work with the "scan" utility form the
dvb driver package, but something is strange here

scan on adapter 1
# ../scan -a 1 2> adapter1 > out.1
scan on adapter 0
# ../scan -a 0 2> adapter0 > out.0

compare the two files:
# ls -l out.?
-rw-rw-r--    1 root     root        34841 Jun 25 17:24 out.0
-rw-rw-r--    1 root     root        16904 Jun 25 17:05 out.1

that is realy strange, the two cards are attached
to the same diseqc switch

as an example, pro 7 is only found on the 1.3 card

# grep -i prosieben out.?
out.0:ProSieben:12480:v:0:27500:255:256:898
out.0:ProSieben Schweiz:12051:v:0:27500:289:290:20001
out.0:ProSieben Austria:12051:v:0:27500:161:84:20002

what can be wrong here?
i am using linux-dvb.2003-06-11
